ABOUT US

The Los Angeles Rabbit Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit rabbit welfare organization.

MISSION STATEMENT

To help abandoned domestic rabbits by promoting spay and neuter, providing education on their care, volunteering in shelters and humane societies, and by fostering and rehabilitating rescued rabbits until such time as suitable permanent homes can be found.

OUR VISION

We envision a day when public animal shelters in the County of Los Angeles are fully staffed with volunteers knowledgeable about house rabbits. Our volunteers will provide potential adopters with the information they need to make the best choice. With the added benefit of our off-site mobile adoptions, adoption rates will improve and return rates will decrease.

In addition, we hope to establish a spay/neuter fund for low-income families to help address the domestic rabbit overpopulation problem in the Los Angeles area.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Domestic rabbits are the third highest population of animals put to sleep in shelters in the United States. Human beings have a responsibility to these rabbits as they are domestic rabbits bred by people. We believe that by saving these rabbits, we also enrich the lives of people who care for them.

ABOUT THIS APP

This app provides its mobile users with valuable information about the Foundation, supplies dates and directions for upcoming adoption events, and answers frequently asked questions.

Additionally, this app makes it easy for mobile users to make valuable contributions to the LA Rabbit Foundation. Key features include the following.

• Rabbits available for adoption are listed with their photos, and users who are interested in a particular rabbit can request more information and an adoption form by tapping the “adopt” button.

• Users can help the Foundation reach more people by sharing a rabbit’s photo along with the Foundation’s contact information. This can be accomplished with a Tweet or a Facebook post by simply tapping on either social media icon.

• Descriptions for all available volunteer positions are provided, and a user can request a volunteer application by tapping the “volunteer” button.

• Charitable donations can be made directly to the foundation by credit card or Paypal using the Donate button. Additionally, information is provided should a user wish to make a donation by check.
